with the recent trouble chrome users have been having I was wondering if firefox would follow. It seems it has. There are a few new steps you need to take if you are using firefox 6.
1. Go to mobsters just like normal
2. While looking at the game go to Tools Menu > Web Developer > Scratchpad.
3. Delete everything in the window if you want or just paste the code at the end.
4. On the Scratchpad Window's Menu select Execute > Run.
Steps 2 + 4 have keyboard shortcuts but they wont work for me, I think its due to my keyboard. You can see the key shortcuts on the menus.
I dont see why they removed the preexisting functionality that was already in there but whatever.... I'm just gonna facepalm this one and move on for now lol.
Please inform your friends of the changes as I wont be able to update the instructions page just yet.

2. Goto the game window, and hit CTRL + SHIFT + K (hold them down one at a time then let go)
3. Paste the code, hit enter, wait for the tool to load.
4. Hit CTRL+SHIFT+K again.

the tool codes, in the scratchpad window it has a comment in the window by default, it wont affect the tools if you leave it in there since its ignored, but deleting it first wont harm anything either.

This is how it worked for me on FF 6. Copy the Top Mob Optimizer code, go to your Mobsters page and just paste it in the bar as usual. Then go to the scratch pad and paste the same code under what is written on the scratchpad, then select execute and click run. I had both windows open and taking up half the screen each. That made it easier.
Success: You claimed $128,133,332,000 from 8 of your top mobs.

each time you load one of the tools, no matter how bad it hurts you to sit there and watch that little indicator spin its little ass around in the tab menu and debate about if its going to work or not, do not close the tab until it crashes or completes like it should.
Chances are you started up the tool and it started lagging like hell. Luckily as long as the tool is started it will slug through and not care if the game responds or not. So in the background, while you where on a new tab getting this message about the game being down, the original tool was still running on the site and once it did its job it turned to give you the results only to find you closed its tab and moved on to a new one.
Shame on you. That tool loves you and you broke its heart like that.
Lol but yeah you get the point, fyi, as long as you get through all the options the tool will keep trying regardless of if the server goes down or not. I figured out how to keep a lot of the server down errors to a minimum but some times there is really nothing I can do about that.

i have just started using google chrome and in order to claim my top mob bonus i would open a fresh mobster page delete everything in the browser address bar type in~~~> javascript: and then paste the code from the tool page and its works...~~>Success: You claimed $71,686,488,000 from 8 of your top mobs. Hope this helps any chrome users
